Our Policies

We are writing this blog post to discuss our Mission, our Policies, and how to protect yourself from scams.

Our Mission:

To provide students with the knowledge and test-taking skills they need to pass any nurse practitioner board exam.

We also strive to...

  • Provide the most cost-effective way to study for the boards (compare our prices with our competitors).

  • Create a positive learning environment encouraging open communication among students, Mrs. Cohen, and the support team.

Our Growth:

We started our school in 2020 and achieved extraordinary growth and many success stories. We feel very blessed and are proud of thousands of satisfied students who used our course to pass!

[a little gripe] With such a significant cohort of users, we can expect a few issues. We've only had a handful of people complain they were confused with our policies. Two who tried to game the system. And even two hackers posing as instructors on our Facebook page to steal money from our students. We designed our policies to provide some protection from nefarious users.

HINT! We are a small company with no employees. Mrs. Cohen and her business partner Shylton handle all day-to-day operations.

Protect yourself from scammers! Anyone else who says they work for us is lying. And all our payments are securely handled by a well-known third party (Stripe). We never ask for your credit card, bank, or money transfer.

Our Policies:

Refunds

We offer a 72-hour refund policy on any purchase for any reason! That means you will have 72 hours to audit the course and decide if it is right for you. So wait to purchase when you know you will have extra time to review our course. Then email support@thecohenreview.com if you’d like a refund.

However, there are some situations where we cannot offer refunds:

  • Within 48 hours of a scheduled private session. By then, Mrs. Cohen has already incurred costs to accommodate your meeting, e.g. hiring a babysitter.

  • After a private session, Mrs. Cohen's time is precious. A lot of effort goes into preparing for private sessions. Please be mindful when booking private sessions.

Extensions

If you purchase one of our prepaid three-month access products (extensions do not apply to monthly subscriptions) but need to extend your access after the expiration, we will happily do so. We want our students to succeed; however, we cannot offer free extensions because people would try to game the system if that were the case.

We have experimented with different pricing plans and found out that this is what works best:

  • We offer a monthly subscription option for those who do not need access for three to six months. A monthly subscription means it will auto-renew every month, but students can cancel it anytime via their dashboard. If you forget to cancel it, the 72-hour refund policy still applies. Just email tech support within 72 hours of the charge in question.

  • We also offer the option to pay three months in advance at a reduced cost relative to the monthly option. With this option, you may request one additional three-month extension. This discounted extension can only be used once, giving the student up to six months of access. After that, you will need to purchase at the full price again.

If this policy is not clear, please message us before purchasing.

Conclusion

We have been very clear with our policies from the start, evidenced by the fact that only a handful of people complained about it.

We feel strongly that you will not find a better value than what we offer here at The Cohen Review. Using the prepayment with an extension option, our six-month enrollment cost is the industry's lowest.

We welcome your feedback. You may leave a comment below, use our contact form, or email us at support@thecohenreview.com

Thank you for your continued support,
Mrs. Cohen.
